Meet Samantha Howells

Managing Director, Maid to Help Cleaning Specialists

As a former professional ballroom and Latin dancer representing Wales, Samantha "Sam" Howells knows what it takes to set goals, make plans, and achieve them with dedication and hard work. From a young age travelling the country and globe for competitions, she developed a steely resolve that continues to drive her success as an entrepreneur today.

After brief studies in nursing, Sam realised her true calling was in business. At just 20 years old in 2014, she shoved the sofa aside in her parents' living room and declared "this is my office now," launching cleaning company Maid To Help. Although not exactly known for her cleaning prowess herself, Sam saw an opportunity to fill a niche by simply offering an exceptional service - getting the job done right.

Within months, Maid To Help landed major contracts with local car dealerships and construction firms. Sam sold the domestic cleaning side to allow full focus on the booming commercial operation. While taking a straightforward, no-nonsense approach with staff and clients alike, she still finds it very important to champion women in a male-dominated industry and foster a lighthearted, enjoyable workplace.

Now a busy working mum after welcoming baby Evan in August, Sam still enjoys dancing when she has time, personal growth learning Spanish, and envisioning the next chapter - moving to sunny Spain within the next few years. With unstoppable determination and an admirable penchant for clear communication, this entrepreneur is making serious waves in Welsh business.
